Breast cancer will claim
the lives of about
45,000
women and men
this year in the US alone
(about 700,000 worldwide).
That’s right. Both & .
And although more women (approx. 287,850) will be diagnosed with the disease, men have a higher mortality rate from it, partly because so many don’t believe it can affect them.
It can. It does.
But awareness WILL save lives.
A majority of breast cancer cases (63%) are diagnosed at the localized stage, before the cancer is able to spread.
When detected at this stage, the survival rate is 99%.
